HONEYMOON CYSTITIS

Honeymoon cystitis is caused by sexual activity. The symptoms are the same as with cystitis triggered by something other than sex like burning sensation when peeing as well as the frequent urge to go to the bathroom.

 

Acute cystitis that occurs after frequent vaginal intercourse is sometimes called honeymoon cystitis. Mild cases of honeymoon cystitis often improve by themselves within several days. But in some cases of honeymoon cystitis may require treatment.

 

CAUSES OF HONEYMOON CYSTITIS :

Acute cystitis that happens after repeated vaginal intercourse that is honeymoon cystitis is inflammation of the mucous membranes that line the urinary bladder. The usual cause of this inflammation is bacteria that travels from the outside of the body through the urethra and into the bladder.

 

Some of the symptoms and signs of honeymoon cystitis are as follows:

    • A strong and persistent desire to pass urine
    • A sensation of burning while passing urine
    • Passing a small quantity of urine frequently
    • Hematuria (presence of blood in your urine)
    • Foamy urine
    • Urine with a strong smell
    • Pelvic discomfort
    • Low-grade fever
    • Feeling discomfort or pressure in the lower abdominal region
